MARKET 2008

RE/MAX had it's statewide rally last week. I got to talk with agents all over the state. The theme seemed to be for 2007 a little down in number of sales, but sales price a little up. Anchorage is not seeing property values increase like they have in the past years. The Valley is being hit by gas prices. Fairbanks has a softer market than past years. Juneau market is pretty mellow. All of these areas have a large number of builders with inventory sitting unsold. The Central Kenai market is lucky in the fact we do not have large builders with unsold inventory. Our sales numbers like everyone else was a little down, and prices a little up.

Everyone is looking at 2008 and seeing an improving market. On the Central Peninsula we are off to a good start, homes are selling, inventory is normal with 252 residential properties for sale.
